Word of Caution!!! the installation instructions show mounting directly to the ceiling material with the power wires protruding from a hole in the ceiling. In the US, that is an Electrical Code Violation.Fans, lights or other fixtures MUST be connected to an electrical metal ceiling box.Lucky for me that I have a good knowledge base for this type of installation, if you have no experience Get an Electrician to install it for you.The other issue is the description for the Hot and Neutral wires are listed as Fire Wire and Zero Wire and the instructions that came with the fan/light DO NOT indicate which is which. I had to contact the seller and they got back to us within 24 hours with an attachment showing the electrical connections.I purchased the 3 year protection plan just in case this light stops working as another fan/light I purchased from Lowes did only after 6 months.Other than that, the fan is powerful and blows great, the daylight setting on the light is bright. Time will tell if this keep working or not.It is noisy at higher speeds but the concept is great for tall teenagers, very safe.It's a nice fan, gives out good amount of air. I did not like that it did not have a hook to clip on to ceiling while installing and I did not like that the light didn't turn on all the way around. Overall I do like it, would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the light and the hook to hang it during installation like other ceiling fans have.The product works as a fan and light above a bunkbed and is safe for the kid. He likes how the lights can change color and when the fan rotates it does blow around the room ok despite being a small diameter unit.I expected higher quality for the price. There were small screws and washers everywhere in the packaging. Finally discovered that they were for holding the LED ring light inside the housing with magnetic nuts. All of them were out. We reassembled and seems to work ok.Looks nice, though there is no sleeve at the top so all the screws and everything used to atta h to the ceiling show unless you put something around it. Can't turn it on high as it sounds too rattley. Nice lighting. Husband had to rig up something to attach it from the old light as hardwear was not proper.ade in China....Packaging was very poor. Outer metal ring was bent in many spots which would not allow plastic light shield to sit flat. I would have sent it back but chances are the next one would be just as damaged. Only good things are the fan is very quiet and light is bright.Outside pkg seemed fine, but the fan itself was all bent up in several locations. Thin metal. The white plastic front makes it look super cheap/poor quality. Disappointed, for sure. Returned.
