We took a shot on the purchase and were pleasantly surprised that it works exactly as described. We place it on top when we start a fire. When the stove heats up, the fan kicks on by itself. We can definitely feel a difference in our living room.This thing is legitimately silent. With no noise in the space at all, you can barely hear the fan blades cutting through the air.Would definitely recommend and would buy again.Fan worked well for the first week. Then it stopped working because the wires fell out of the back.We ordered this to go on our little wood burning stove. I tried it out on our flat top cook range just to see how it worked. I was floored at how much air this thing can move. It is well built and good solid constuction. Hope it holds up well over the years. Thanks.I got this fan originally for a small tent stove. I wanted to try it out on my fireplace insert to see how it worked first. While I don't think it actually blows much heat around ( my insert has blowers) it does start spinning when the fireplace gets to the temperature to turn on the blowers, and slows way down or stops spinning when fire is almost out, or needs more wood. So on that note, I like it. I have glass windows on my insert, but sometimes they get blackened, in between cleaning,so I can't see what's going on without getting up and looking. Sometimes I don't feel like getting off the couch and moving my 5 little dogs off me..lol hahaa. I'm glad I have this little fan, and I'd recommend it for the reasons I stated.I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this. It works fairly well. Doesn’t move a ton of air, but definitely helps. It’s super quiet and it isn’t sharp which is great. All in all I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to others who have a wood stove.I can’t believe this freakin thing works so well! Now we can use our propane fire place without running the fan which is exactly what my precious daughter who has severe migraines needs. She stay is the family room with the rest of us and not have to retreat to her room! It’s really amazing and it’s small but somehow does the job in our large family room. Now it's almost $40.Won't buy anymore at that price.Fast shipping, good price/quality...but, it's not gonna really save you anything in heating cost...not moving enough air to make a difference, but it looks pretty cool on top of the stove!
