Let me start off by saying it works flawlessly, makes a tremendous difference on these hot days. But, its put together poorly, none of the pieces of the case fit together properly, tons of gaps between the fan controls ontop and the fan "cage", lifted it out of the box by the handle, and the only thing that held it to the rest of the fan was the wiring. Now the fan control just flops ontop of the fan. The fan cage itself barely fits together, again with a ton of gaps where it's obvious the two pieces dont fit correctly. Unfortunately I've had the fan for over a month before I opened to box to find this issuea. But, beyond that the fan itself works wonders. Better than any box fine, but pricey for such poor quality assembly. This is a great all around fan. I buy one a year. They are terrific!this seller went out of his way tomake this right. thanksRemote never worked. But timer doesThe fan is not we'll balanced and vibrates during operation. I have it in an elevated location and it's difficult to access it without a ladder to adjust it when it begins to vibrate because of the imbalance of the blades.Works great. We had an older model of this exact fan, and as it started getting hotter others in the house started to use it again. So I decided to order this newer model for myself, seeing as how I liked the older one. This fan is so great. I like the white and grey colors, as opposed to all grey on the older model we have. It's powerful and has kept me cool from the moment I opened it. There was virtually no setup, just take it out of the box, remove some plastic around the cord, and that's it.The button controls work just fine, and even the lowest setting is enough to keep you cool. In fact, I don't think I've had to use the higher power settings. The noise level is a little loud, even for the lowest setting, but it isn't that big of a problem. Compared to the older model we have it's actually a little more quiet. Plus, you get used to it, and it becomes a sort of white noise, if that makes sense. Besides, almost all fans will have some noise to them. The controller for it works just fine, although you have to point it almost exactly at the top where the buttons are, which can be a little annoying. But other than that, it's fine. The controller didn't come with batteries, but I don't think that matters at all. I know some people care about that stuff for some reason though.I haven't had to clean this one yet, but I know for the older model cleaning was easy. Just take a vacuum or duster to the front and back of it. You can probably take it apart to clean it like you can the older model, but I don't think I'll ever do that. This review might seem excessive for a fan, but when it starts to get really hot, and with people out of work right now, it all matters. Overall, a great fan.I bought this fan to use specifically while I am bicycling on my trainer during the off season. I wanted a big fan capable of keeping me cool while I'm on bike for 30-60 minutes. I also needed a fan that could tilt up from the floor as I did not want to have to find a table to put a large fan on every time I rode. I looked at a few of the big box stores and the fans they had with the size and features I needed were significantly more expensive. This fan is great, it's large, pushes a lot of air, and tilts. The fan comes out of the box fully assembled. The remote control is included however you do need to install a battery for it to work. I do not believe a battery was provided. The awesome bonus is that it also is controlled by a remote control that's smaller than the palm of my hand. The fan has 3 speeds, slow, medium, high, and they can be controlled either by buttons on the fan or the remote. The fan also has a timer, where you can set it to shut off in either 2, 4, or 8 hours. I have not yet used the timer as the only thing I use the fan for is to move air while I am on my bike trainer. I could see how nice the timer would be if you wanted to say, fall asleep to the fan but turn it off so you didn't get chilled in the night. The base of the fan is perfect to keep the fan steady even while tilted. The buttons on the top of the fan make it very easy to control. Each speed has a different color light that lights while the fan is in use at that speed. The cord is long enough for most uses.As I mentioned, the fan does tilt. You click the fan into the tilt position you want and it stays until you click it into another position. The fan does not oscillate. Blades are plastic. Because it is a bladed fan, it is noisy. It is very loud on the high setting.I have read reviews suggesting you hose it off to clean it, and I WOULD NOT recommend using this fan near water OR hosing it or using any water to clean it. It is not considered waterproof and you could end up shocked, electrocuted, or you could start a fire! This is a great fan for the use that I purchased it for and I am VERY happy with it and would recommend it!Remote did not work-finally let me return it-cost me $43.00 to do so, and not refunded.
