Once entering my girlfriend’s life, i started fixing up the grand marquis that she inherited from her late grandfather. While it had been passed around amongst her brothers, once finally returning to her hands, i quickly found that this thing was having cooling issues in heavy traffic situations. Once i figured out that the fan was the problem, i let the engine cool, and then properly diagnosed it. After finding that the fan worked when power was directly supplied and that the connector to the fan module had the correct voltage, i deemed the module bad. And apparently it had been bad for years since i heard about other overheating situations from the family members who used the vehicle in the past ?♂️ Apparently it had been replaced before with a cheap alternative which only lasted a year or so.Anyways, it’s been working great since then and i no longer need to worry about whipping illegal u-turns when the engine starts to overheat in stop-and-go traffic ?
