We bought this heater to replace CZ20481F. It fit perfectly. The heater is in our bathroom. We turn it on when we are in the shower in the AM. It probably runs 20-30 minutes per person. The noise is about the same. The fan spreads the warmth. Just comparing it with the old heater, I am happy. The installation was fairly easy, it looks pretty nice. My issues with this fan are1. It's fairly noisy. I looked through the instruction manual and didn't see anything about dampening materials needed. I checked several possible causes but nothing stopped it from sounding the way it does.2. It's an odd design in the sense that the fan does not kick on immediately when you turn the knob on. It takes between 3O-60 seconds. Same when you turn it off. This means I cannot use it for my tenants because I will constantly be called with tenants telling me the heater is not working properly... Maybe it isn't working properly I'm still not sure. I didn't see anything in the manual that talked about a delayed fan response. This is my second one. I didn't buy the first one, it came with the house. That one died and started blowing cold air. Not good when you are expecting heat! Anyway replaced it with a new one. Installed very quickly. Even if there hadn't been another one where I installed it would be pretty easy. The hardest part of the install is setting up a dedicated circuit for this. Since that was already done, no big deal.Heat works very well! The only improvement I can see on this is the temp setting. There is no real way to tell what temp you are setting this to. It would be nice to be able to set this at 70 and it would just kick on when it drops below that temp. The old one had lines on the dial area that I think may have had temp numbers on them. The new one there is nothing, all white with a white dial. I'd buy another if I need easy to install heat.Because in the product specs section it only says "dimensions 9w x 12h x 4d" I checked in the Q&A section about what the rough box size is (aka size of the unit being installed into the wall), and the answer provided says 9w x 12h x 4d. It matched the size of the unit I need to replace so I bought it. Turns out, that answer is incorrect. Box dimensions are 8 1/4w x 10h x 3 1/2d. The grill covering dimensions are 9w x 12h x 1/2d. Combined they equal the total size of the unit, which is very misleading. All of these type of heating units are supposed to be labeled by the rough box size and the grill cover size separately. This is a great little heater! Our old QMark electric bathroom heater finally bit the dust after getting us through many cold Vermont winters. I ordered this unit based on our positive experience with the older QMark heater. It arrived in good shape and installed fairly quickly. (I did have to modify the hole in the wall because this unit is a bit smaller than the older one.) Directions were clear and straight-forward, and after turning on the 240 volt breaker in the cellar and adjusting the thermostat on the heater, the bathroom was warm in no time... less than five minutes. I'm looking forward to many years of service from this unit. One word of caution: Be absolutely sure to take the unit apart at least once a year to remove all the hair, lint, and other airborne stuff that WILL find its way into your heater. My failure to do this annually may have contributed to the demise of the old heater.I bought a returned unit for about $20 cheaper and IT NEVER WORKED! they literally sold me a unit they know was returned because it DID NOT WORK! Even shipped it in the returned customers box! BUYERS BEWARE!It is a little smaller than the last one we had so we had to build a frame around it but all and all it is doing the job.I have installed many of these. Some as replacements and some in new installations. They work well and are quiet. They also have a jumper that can be removed to drop the heater wattage down to half which I do on a lot of these as they go in small bathrooms and 1000 watts is all you need. I will continue to use these in other jobs.
